It looks like the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority could have another legal battle on their hands.
Representatives from a community minded citizens' group known as A Better Niagara has told the NPCA they plan to seek a court injunction against them.
The group cites concerns with the makeup of the NPCA board of directors, as NPCA representatives insist Niagara is only allotted 5 members, instead of the 12 that have been appointed.
A Better Niagara also notes the cancellation of a December 12th meeting, and the failure to schedule a meeting for tomorrow as requested by Niagara Regional council.
In a release, A Better Niagara also brings up concerns with the NPCA's new CAO Dave Barrick, who had previously been fired from the organization in November by former CAO Mark Brickell.
The application to 'resolve the stalemate over the board' will be made to the Ontario Superior Court of Justice on Friday morning at 10 a.m. at the Welland Court House.
Board member of A Better Niagara Liz Benneian joins Niagara In the Morning today at 7:20 a.m.
