After MPP's voted to have the Auditor General conduct a forensic audit of its books, the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority unveiled what it is calling the biggest, boldest, most robust plan in its history.
At an afternoon media event at Ball's Falls, the NPCA debuted a new 100 year watershed improvement strategy.
The proposal includes the planting of million of trees and native plants in the watershed over the next five to seven years.
As well, the agency wants to purchase thousands of acres of land over the next 100 years and take a leading role in climate change initiatives.
