The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority warning of localized flooding in low-lying areas of the Niagara Region as a major storm passes through today.
The NPCA says present water levels are normal and not expected to exceed their flood stages during the storm.
However, Lake Ontario shoreline erosion and flooding are still a concern due to the high water levels and the potential impact of strong winds.
Residents living along Lake Ontario from Hamilton to Niagara-on-the-Lake are urged to monitor the situation.
