A 68 year old St. Catharines man has been charged in connection to an incident outside the Bill Burgoyne Arena back on February 4th of this year.
Niagara Regional Police began an investigation after allegations of verbal and phsyical abuse were reported on a male hockey referee following his officiating of a youth hockey game.
NRP identified and charged Bruce Ruch as the person responsible for the incident.
Ruch is charged with one count of assault and has been released on a promise to appear at a future court date.
