Police in Welland are investigating three early morning armed robberies.
The first one happened shortly before 2 a.m. today after a man and woman were approached by a male suspect in the area of Niagara Street and Church Street and robbed.
Following that, within a 30 minute span, a gas station in the area of Niagara Street and Thorold Road and a convenience store in the area of Thorold Road and Prince Charles Drive were also robbed by a man matching a similar description.
In all three robberies, what is believed to be a handgun was displayed.
The suspect is described as white, six feet tall, with a medium build.
He was wearing dark pants, a black and grey jacket, a black winter hat and a black bandana over his face
