Niagara Regional Police are looking for a suspect after an attempted armed robbery of the Big Bee Convenience store on Lake Street in St. Catharines.
NRP say a lone male entered the store just before 5 a.m. this morning armed with a weapon and demanded money.
The lone clerk managed to thwart the attempt and the suspect fled the scene on foot.
The suspect is described as a black male, about 25 years of age with a slender build.
He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, grey track pants, white running shoes and a black ski mask over his face and carrying a black satchel bag.
There were no injuries to the clerk during this incident.
