A Niagara Regional Police officer is facing harassment charges following an almost 3 month investigation.
Police say they started investigating after being contacted by a member of the public back in February.
Tuesday Constable Mark Taks was arrested, charged with criminal harassment and harassing telecommunications.
The incident occurred while the officer was off duty.
Taks is a uniformed patrol officer, with the service for two years.
In accordance with the Police Services Act of Ontario, Constable Taks has been suspended with pay pending further investigation.
He'll be in court for a bail hearing Wednesday.
