Niagara Regional Police say they are investigating a possible attempted abduction of a 16 year old boy in Vineland.
Police say a possibly armed suspect has fled a stolen vehicle on foot and is in the area west of 19th Street on King St in Jordan.
Members of the public in the area are asked to ensure their personal safety.
As a safety precaution schools in that area have instituted their safety protocols.
NRP are asking the public to stay out of the area as there is a heavy police presence including their Emergency Task and K9 Units.
The suspect has been described as a white male, wearing black clothing, including a black touque, and COVID mask, with thick brown prescription glasses.
Niagara Catholic School board also tweeting out a message to parents not to go to the school in the area as the school cannot release students until Niagara Police lift the hold and secure.
NCDSB confirming all students are safe inside St. Edward Elementary School.
