The old General Motors site in St. Catharines is once again up for sale.
The property has been listed with Cushman and Wakefield real estate company.
Bayshore Groups currently owns the property but is mired in legal issues.
St. Catharines Mayor Walter Sendzik says there is not much the city can do at this point, "It's still a private sales transaction until the tax sale opportunity comes in front of us. All we can really do is monitor it and hope for the best." He adds, "the quicker we can have new owners in there who are commited to not just the site but the commuinty the better it will be for everybody."
There is no price listed for the close to 55 acre piece of land on Ontario Street. It is listed with conceptual site plan that includes just over two million square feet of residential and commercial space.
Bayshore paid $12.5-million for the property back in 2014.
