OLG issues first quarter payment to Niagara Falls

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has made its first quarter payment to Niagara Falls.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has made its first quarter payment to Niagara Falls.

The payment of non-tax revenue, made to the city for hosting Casino Niagara and Fallsview Casino Resort, is for over 7.6 million dollars.

The quarter is from April - June 2017.

The OLG determines payments by using a formula that is based on an escalating scale of gaming revenue that is consistent across all sites in Ontario. 

Since December 1996, Niagara Falls has received more than 98.9 million dollars in non-tax gaming revenue.
