Two Niagara on the Lake town councillors, acting as private citizens have asked the province's Ombudsman to look into the actions taken by the DBSN in their disposition of surplus property namely Parliament Oak School.
In a facebook post on Councillor Paolo Miele's wall, Miele says he and Councillor Martin Mazza received a call this (Friday) afternoon indicating preliminary observations by the Ombudsman's office have determined merit for an investigation and they will be moving forward with one.
Miele says the pair acted as private citizens, but would like to see the town add their name to the investigation and hope to add it to Monday's agenda.
They're encouraging local residents to also call the Ombudsman's office to show support.
