We will find out this morning, the results of an investigation into the removal of a St. Catharines Standard reporter from regional council chambers that happened last December.
Ontario Ombudsman Paul Dube will post his findings online at 9:30 this morning.
Standard reporter Bill Sawchuck and a citizen blogger left their belongings behind during the meeting when council went in camera.
Sawchuck was accused of leaving his laptop on, to record the confidential portion of the meeting.
His laptop was seized, police were called and he was asked to leave regional headquarters.
His computer was not returned until a lawyer for the newspaper called regional officials.
Blogger Preston Haskell later told the Standard, he was recording the meeting, left to go to the washroom and when he returned council had gone behind closed doors.
