Niagara police have been investigating a series of break and enters in Fort Erie in the past month.
They say the suspects have been targetting unlocked or insecure homes and often use force to gain entry.
Police say an arrest has been made and more are expected.
In the meantime, police have increased their presence in the community to prevent and to find and arrest those responsible.
Police say they will hold a public meeting in Fort Erie to provide an update on their investigation and provide some crime prevention tips.
Until then police recommend you close and lock cars, house doors/window and garage doors when not in use.

Take photos of your property (model/serial numbers), and room layouts. Do this whenever you buy a new large ticket item or every six months. Save the photos to a "cloud' based storage system in case your phone is lost.
