Online voting doesn't always equal higher voter turnout.
Now that the municipal election has wrapped up in Niagara we are looking at voter turnout numbers.
Grimsby offered online , phone and in-person voting.
43.78 percent of residents voted in Grimsby in this election compared to 43 percent in 2014 when the town offered online voting for the first time.
Jeff Jordan was the winner last night and will represent the town as Mayor.

Welland - 34%
Thorold - 36%
West Lincoln - 38.4%
Niagara Falls - 39%
Lincoln - 39%
Fort Erie - 41%
Port Colborne - 42.8%
Wainfleet - 48.56%
Niagara-On-The-Lake - 58.7%
