Only a few weeks left before a massive 'Mario Kart' looking race track opens up on Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls.
An official with the Niagara Speedway, Joel Noden tells CKTB it looks like opening day will be June 1st.
Noden says they are still waiting on some safety standard approvals before opening the course, which is the first of its kind in Canada.
He says the idea was born four years ago, and they are very close to the finish line.
The track covers four acres, goes up 40 feet, and covers about 2000 feet of racing surface.
Noden says there is NOT an age requirement but drivers must be 4'10 and passengers must be 3'10.
There is a maximum height is 6'5.
When asked about the delay opening up, Noden says they wanted to ensure the attraction was unique and highly successful.
We also asked if it will be an affordable attraction, he said yes and that drivers will be charged $12 for a 5 minute ride.
Passengers will pay $4 dollars/5 min race.
