Ontario's auditor general is not expected to table a favourable report today when she releases her investigation of the Liberal government's 25 per cent cut to hydro bills.
Under the plan, a new entity overseen by Ontario Power Generation will take on debt to pay for the removal of a portion of the global adjustment charge for the next 10 years.
Energy Minister Glenn Thibeault has said O-P-G has expertise in managing hydro-related debt.
But auditor Bonnie Lysyk has previously said structuring the plan that way means there will be no impact on the province's net debt, which she suggested may have been done on purpose.
