An Ontario manufacturing company with plants in Waterloo and Toronto says it will open its new plant in the U-S because energy has become too expensive.

However, Economic Development and Growth Minister Brad Duguid says the government will lower electricity costs for small and medium-sized businesses by eight per cent, starting January 1st.
