Niagara will not be allowed to open patios and hair salons, but the region is included in the provincial order to double the limit on gatherings from 5 to 10 people this Friday.
As of Friday at 12:01 a.m. all Ontario residents will be able to gather with up to 10 people, but still comply with social distancing measures if the gathering includes people from outside your household.
Places of worship will also be able to resume services this Friday, but must cap attendance at 30 % of theirĀ building capacity.
Effective Friday, June 12, 2020 at 12:01 a.m., the province will increase the limit on social gatherings from five to 10 people across the province, regardless of whether a region has moved to Stage 2. Additionally, all places of worship in Ontario will also be permitted to open with physical distancing in place and attendance limited to no more than 30 per cent of the building capacity to ensure the safety of worshippers.
Niagara is remaining in stage one of the reopening plan of the economy, as other areas move onto stage two which allows malls, beaches, hair salons and patios to open.
