N-D-P leader Andrea Horwath has announced a 57-million dollar commitment to creating new opportunities in skilled trades.
Horwath says skilled trades helped turn Ontario into an economic powerhouse and the investment will have a particular focus on attracting more women to the trades.
The N-D-P leader made the announcement in Toronto where she faced more questions about a 1.4-billion dollar costing mistake she has admitted her party made in its election platform.
Horwath says the N-D-P is proud of a platform that puts the interests of people at the centre of decision-making and also of a government that is prepared to acknowledge a mistake instead of finding its own accountants to challenge the issue.
