We will find out early next week if Ontario children will see the inside of a classroom anytime soon.
Education Minister Stephen Lecce says the government will announce plans for the remainder of this school year early next week.
He says they are currently looking at updated modelling to make a decision.
He says the safety of students comes first.
Lecce says by early next week he will be able to share what the decision is for June, and a possible 'scale-up' of learning over the summer to avoid learning loss.
He also announced the voluntary redeployment of some school board staff to the healthcare sector.
