Ontario health officials are reporting the fifth straight day with fewer than 300 new COVID-19 cases.

Today's update includes 256 new cases, down from yesterday's 296.

With 26,561 tests processed since the last update, the positivity rate has ticked up slightly to 1.3 percent compared to 1.1 percent yesterday.

The seven-day rolling average is now 305 compared to 411 a week ago.

The latest data also includes 2 new deaths linked to the virus.
