As the province loosens COVID-19 restrictions and reopens some areas of the economy, Ontario Health has reported its highest number of new cases of the virus in a week.
The Ministry of Health says that there were 391 new cases of the virus confirmed Friday.
That's up from the 341 new cases confirmed Thursday and represents the highest number the province has seen since May 9.
Over the past week, Ontario has averaged 338 cases each day.
It is the 8th straight day of below 400 cases.
An addtional 33 deaths were also announced today.
