Ontario Health Minister Christine Elliott calls today's number of COVID-19 cases in the province concerning.
Ontario is reporting 203 new cases of the virus.
Today's uptick is the result of localized increases, 43 of the new cases are in Ottawa, 57 in Peel and 24 more in Windsor-Essex.
116 of the cases are also in people 39 years of age or younger.
Elliott says Ontarians of all ages need to continue to adhere to public health guidelines, maintain only one social circle of 10 people, physically distance with anyone outside of it and wear a face covering when doing so is a challenge.
