Ontario Tourism and Culture Minister Eleanor McMahon says she isn't concerned that a full-fledged Toronto casino would draw visitors away from other venues in the province.
She says the growing tourism sector can only benefit from a substantial venue like that and would draw more people to visit the province.
Her comments come after two Canadian companies won a bid to run three O-L-G facilities in the Toronto area.
Great Canadian Gaming and Brookfield Business Partners will acquire O-L-G Slots at Woodbine, O-L-G Slots at Ajax Downs and the Great Blue Heron Casino in the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation.
