The Ontario government will be handing $50,000 over to Lincoln to help improve public transit.
Niagara West PC MPP Sam Oosterhoff announcing that "Ontario’s Gas Tax program will provide The Town of Lincoln with funding for public transit. More public transit will make life easier for people travelling to and from work, school and appointments.”
Oosterhoff says as part of this fiscal year’s gas tax funding, the Town of Lincoln is receiving $50,106 to support upgrades and enhancements that could include major transit infrastructure projects, buying more buses, adding new routes, extending hours of service, or improving accessibility.
This year, the province is providing $364 million in Gas Tax funding to 109 municipalities providing public transit service to 146 communities across Ontario.
