A Hamilton teacher is one of two plaintiffs of a legal challenge of Ontario's two board school system.
Adrienne Havercroft and the group, One Public Education Now or OPEN, are hoping to go to court to argue that Ontario can no longer afford taxpayer funded Catholic schools.
OPEN was started by a Toronto woman, Reva Landau, who tried five years ago to challenge the province's two board education system but was denied legal standing by the court.
This time however she has enlisted the help of Havercroft who will argue having a public and Catholic school system has hurt her ability to find work because as a non Catholic she is not eligibile to apply for a position with the Catholic board which makes up about one third of publicly funded teaching jobs in Hamilton.
