Opioid overdoses in Niagara are up again

The latest numbers show Niagaras opioid epidemic continues to grow.
The latest numbers show Niagara's opioid epidemic continues to grow.
The figures released by the region's associate medical officer of health says EMS responded to 335 suspected opioid overdoses in the first half of this year.
If the same trend continues, EMS will respond to 672 calls this year alone.
Last year paramedics responded to almost 500 suspected overdose calls.
