The Ontario Provincial Police responded to a number of road fatalities and charged thousands of drivers during road safety week.
The OPP say during the annual initiative they responded to seven fatalities with three of those occurring over the long weekend.
They also issued roughly 12,600 traffic related charges.
Those include close to 6,900 speeding tickets and 175 stunt driving charges.
The rest of the charges include 245 for impaired driving, 144 for distracted driving, 124 for careless driving, and 622 people were ticketed for not wearing a seatbelt.
A number of other unlawful and unsafe moving violations and driver actions were ticketed.
