Put down those cell phones and keep your eyes on the road.
The OPP will be out in full force this long weekend for their annual Distracted Driving Campaign.
Police say with back to school pedestrians and school buses heading back on the roads next week, the campaign underscores the importance of paying full attention while driving.
The OPP investigated 304 school bus collisions last year, 76 of which were attributed to motorists or school bus drivers who were engaged in some form of distraction.
Police are also reminding drivers that passing a school bus with its red lights flashing comes with a fine of up to $2,000 and six demerit points.
New distracted driving penalities come with a fine up to $1,000, three demerit points and a three day licence suspension.
