As the OPP prepare to crack down on transport truck drivers, they say two factors contributed to many of the crashes involving the big trucks.
Officials say 40% of transport truck collisions last year involved a commercial driver making improper lane changes or following too closely.
Overall, 63 people were killed in more than 7,670 transport truck crashes last year.
This comes as the OPP are preparing for their annual 24 hour truck blitz dubbed 'Operation Corridor.'
