The OPP are looking for a suspect after an officer was dragged during a traffic stop.
On July 3rd an officer stopped a vehicle on the 400 southbound at Finch Ave around 12:36 a.m. The officer exited his cruiser and had a short conversation with the man who was driving. During the interaction, the vehicle sped away, dragging the officer from the left shoulder and into a live lane of traffic.
The driver fled the scene.
The officer, a 33 year old member of the 407 highway detachment, is now at home recovering from his injuries.
Police are looking for a dark coloured Audi, model years between 2013 - 2017. The vehicle had a distinctive upper brake light spanning the entire rear window. The Audi may have damage to the driver's side.
The suspect is a white man, around 30 - 35 years old with short black hair.
