The OPP releasing some frightening stats ahead of the holiday weekend.
The force says so far this year there have been 182 deaths on OPP patrolled roads.
Inattentive driving is blamed for 63 deaths, speeding claimed another 56 lives, impaired driving 32 and lack of seat belt use is responsibile for taking 31 more lives.
The OPP say in an effort to prevent more highway deaths, they will be launching Operation Impact over the Thanksgiving weekend, that will see enforcement efforts increased on the province's highways.
