OPSEU is taking aim at the NPCA
The union hosting a news conference in St.Catharines today calling for recent layoffs at the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority to be rescinded.
Eight workers were laid off late last month.
President Smokey Thomas saying the union won't stop until justice is served and that he would love to talk to the Authority's CAO Mark Brickell.
Welland MPP Cindy Forster also speaking at the event saying nine municipal councils have called for a forensic audit of the NPCA and it's time to take a closer look into the authority's books.
Niagara Falls MPP Wayne Gates says the NPCA is trying to break the union in Niagara.
Forster and Gates are calling for a supervisor to oversee the NPCA.
