Former Toronto Blue Jay Roberto Osuna is expected to attend court in person today to answer an assault charge.
The 23 year old was arrested on May 8th after an alleged domestic incident and handed a 75 game suspension without pay for violating Major League Baseball's Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse policy.
Osuna's lawyer is hoping a peace bond for his client that could lead to a withdrawal of the charge.
The pitcher now plays for the Houston Astros - the court date was moved to today so Osuna could attend court in person while the Astros are in Toronto to face the Jays.
