Do elected politicians have the right to block people on social media?
That's what an Ottawa court is being asked to decide.
Three residents want a court order declaring Mayor Jim Watson infringed their consititutional right to freedom of expression when he blocked them from his Twitter account.
Watson argues it's his personal account and he has the right to decide who can see it or who can comment on his tweets.
If the challenge succeeds, the case could have a profound effect for politicians of every level.
