The owners of a flower farm in St. Catharines, devastated by a massive fire, are hoping to make something beautiful out of a tragedy.
Officials with Pioneer Flower Farms say the first scrap metal truck arrived yesterday to get rid of some of the twisted metal left behind by the blaze.
But the owners are also hoping to find someone who can make art from the scrap metal to design a small flower monument.
They say it will stand as a 'momentous reminder of our past, and the days we were lifted by the community.'
Firefighters from across Niagara spent last weekend battling the fierce blaze at the flower farm.
Local residents also pulled together donating clothes and other items for the migrant workers who were displaced by the fire.
