Out of the Heat has a new home in St. Catharines.
Founding Board Member for the program, Heather Morrison joined CKTB to share the news that this year the program will be based out of St. George's in downtown St. Catharines.
Morrison says the location is ideal as services are nearby and they can have a breakfast club on site.
Out of the Heat is a community-run emergency shelter that runs in St. Catharines from the beginning of July until the end of August to help shelter the homeless from the extreme heat.
She says they are still looking to buy 3 air conditioning units.
A volunteer information session will be held Thursday June 13th from 7-9 pm at Start Me Up Niagara.
They will also be holding a fundraiser at Warehouse in St. Catharines on June 29th.
