Well over 100 people showed up to protest in front of a St. Catharines animal clinic.
Demonstrators lined both sides of Welland Avenue in front of Skyway Animal Hospital hoping to put pressure on the College of Veterinarians to revoke the license of Dr. Mahavir Rekhi.
Rekhi was caught on video several weeks ago mistreating animals that were in his care.
He was handed a 10-month license suspension, which can be reduced if he takes retraining courses.
More than 500 people showed interest in attending the event on the groups Facebook page.
Niagara Police were informed of the protest, and drove by several times to ensure a peaceful demonstration.
