Even after all the warnings another dog was left in a sweltering car.
It happened yesterday (Sunday) in Burlington in the Appleby Line and Upper Middle Road area around 2:30 p.m. in the afternoon.
A Halton police officer was able to get the dog out, cooling her off inside his police cruiser.
The officer took temperature readings which indicated it was 66 degrees inside the vehicle.
The man, believed to be from Oakville, was charged for leaving the dog in his car and for not providing adequate water.
The fine is about $500.
No word on whether the dog was given back to the owner.
