Parents in Niagara are preparing for another day of teachers' strikes.
Tomorrow Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario members will be walking the picket line as Niagara's local union president once again says the Ford government is 'only interested in cuts to education.' All District School Board of Niagara elementary schools will be closed for the one day strike.
Local union president Jada Nicklefork says, "A strike is the only means for educators to force the government to get serious about negotiations and the future of public education."
Some of the major unresolved issues include class sizes and protecting Ontario's Kindergarten program.
ETFO President Sam Hammond will try to visit picket sites in Niagara tomorrow, including a stop at MPP Sam Oosterhoff's office in Beamsville.
