Following their denial of his day and full parole earlier this month, the Parole Board of Canada has released its written reasons.
The Parole Board of Canada says Marco Muzzo, who was convicted of killing three children and their grandfather in a drunk driving crash raised a red flag by underestimating his issues with alcohol.
It says that by trying to paint himself as a responsible drinker who made a deadly mistake, Muzzo showed a lack of insight into his drinking habits and the risk they pose to others.
Muzzo was sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty in 2016 to four counts of impaired driving causing death in the collision in Vaughan.
