It's a first of its kind in Canada as Pathstone breaks ground on a natural playground and healing garden for mental health.
Pathstone, a non-profit charitable agency offering mental health help to the Niagara region's children and their families held an event today to unveil their plans.
The 10,000 sq. ft. greenspace will be used by the Pathstone Foundation’s mental health disorder patients.
The Mountainview Natural Playground and Healing Garden will be the first of its kind to be created at a children’s mental health agency.
The ground breaking also celebrated the ongoing support of donors.
Kim Rossi, Director of Philanthropy & PR at Pathstone thanked Mark Basciano of Mountainview for making the project a reality with a $450,000 donation.
Desjardins Group also received recognition for awarding the organization with a $50,000 grant as part of the Better Things Community Grant.
