An industrial fire in Port Colborne is under control and the building has fully collapsed.
Fire officials providing an update this afternoon saying they continue to put out hot spots at Vinyl Works Canada on Barber Road.
Residents are reminded to stay indoors with their windows and doors closed while the Ministry of Environment continues to conduct further air quality testing.
The Ministry of Environment has currently tested 3 locations and all were reported as safe.
The areas tested include Concession 3 & Babion Road, the Miller Yard on Hwy 140, and 2250 Ramey Road.
School children were allowed to be released and picked up from schools via regular transportation.
Agencies that have provided support included Fire Departments from across Niagara Region, Ministry of Environment, Enbridge, Canadian Niagara Power, Niagara Regional Police Services, EMS and Niagara Region staff.
Seven employees were at the building when the fire began and everyone exited safely.
The office of the Fire Marshal has been notified and investigation will begin when the fire is extinguished.
Road closures will continue on Barber Road & 2nd Concession along with Hwy 140 & 2nd Concession until the scene is cleared by Port Colborne Fire & Emergency Services.
