Picket lines remain in place at Toronto's Pearson Airport after striking ground crew workers employed by Swissport rejected their latest contract offer.
Teamsters Union Local 419 says the deal was turned down by a vote of 98 per cent, after they had rejected a similar deal by almost the same margin in late July when the walkout began.
Union spokesman Christopher Monette says the latest offer was almost identical to the first and all Swissport did was ``change a few details.''
The 700 cabin cleaners, baggage handlers, and other ground crew workers handle 30 airlines at the airport.
The list includes Air Transat and Sunwing Airlines, but not Air Canada and WestJet.
