A 31 year old St. Catharines woman is in critical condition after being struck by a car while crossing the street.
EMS and police were called out just after 4:30 yesterday afternoon to the intersection of Eastchester and Grantham.
Police say the woman was crossing the street using the crosswalk when she was struck by a car driven by a 59 year old woman.
The victim sustained critical injuries and was transported to an out of town hospital for treatment.
The driver of the car was not injured.
