A 22 year old Welland man, and newly minted Peel Paramedic has been arrested following the discovery of a car and body in Lake Ontario.
A 27 year old man from Mississauga was pulled from Lake Ontario in Oakville where a vehicle entered the water early Monday.
Halton Police were called to the area at around 3 am near Maple Grove Drive and Lakeshore Road East to investigate a report of a person knocking on doors.
Officers on the scene found a man and discovered a collision had occurred that resulted in a vehicle entering the lake from a dead-end street.
The man's body was recovered from the water, and police say he was a passenger in the vehicle.
22 year old Aaron Dobbs, who is from Welland was arrested and charged with impaired driving causing death and refusing to provide a breath sample.
Dobbs recently graduated from Niagara College and joined Peel Paramedics a few weeks ago.
He made an appearance in a Milton court before being released on bail.
