There are now four candidates running for Niagara Regional Chair.
Pelham Mayor Dave Augustyn announcing today that he is running for the position, using the slogan "A Better Region For You".
He says it's time for a change, saying he's had questions about the happenings in the region.
He specifically names the over budget Burgoyne Bridge, questionable highering practices, and the Police Chief buyout.
Also running for the position is current chair Alan Caslin, local businessman John Ringo Beam, and former Welland Mayor Damian Goulbourne.
Only 15 days remain before the deadline to run for regional council, local council, and school boards
The election will be held in October.
This is the first time Niagara residents will vote for a regional chair.
Previously fellow regional councillors appointed a chair.
