More controversy at the Niagara Region.
In a suprise move, Post Media reports that St. Catharines councillor Andy Petrowski along with Fort Erie resident Fred Bracken are taking most of regional council to court in an effort to stop the region's integrity commissioner from releasing three reports.
In a notice of motion filed in court last week, the two claim Petrowski's rights are being violated under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms by both the integrity commissioner and the regional code of conduct.
It also claims a release of the reports would damage Petrowski's reputation and label him a bully which would limit his chance of gaining private sector employment.
The motion names 24 of the 31 regional councillors as respondants.
