Prime Minister Trudeau stopped by Burlington yesterday to meet with the brother of a Canadian man imprisoned in Indonesia since 2014.
The PM telling Guy Bantleman and his mother, his brother Neil's case is one he has been extremely active on, adding we are trying to achieve a positive outcome.
48 year old Neil Bantleman was convicted in 2014 of sexually assaulting young students at a private school in Jakarta where he was teaching.
He was sentenced to 10 years in jail, a year later his conviction was overturned and then last year, the Indonesian Supreme Court reinstated the conviction and added another year to the sentence.
