You will probably want to put on an extra layer or two if you have to go out tonight.
A special weather statement continues for Niagara warning of more bitterly cold weather set to move in late today and run through Saturday.
Environment Canada's Geoff Coulson says the temperature will fall to -14 this afternoon, with a night time low of -17.
But the real story will be the wind, windchill values are expected in the -27 degree range tonight and tomorrow.
Coulson says Niagara will be a bit warmer than the rest of the Golden Horshoe and probably won't reach the excessive cold warning level of -30.
Windsor, London, Toronto and the Barrie area expected to see windchills in the -30 to -35 degree range.
The meteorologist notes we will get a break from the cold Sunday and Monday, but adds they are watching a system coming up from Texas that could bring significant snow to Niagara at the beginning of the week.
As for long term, Coulson says the verdict is still out, some models show continuing cold through to the end of January while others forecast more seasonable conditions.
